AUTUMN NEWSLETTER &
NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Sad news. Many of you will already know that Harri has tendered her resignation and will leave officially on 30 November 2011. Harri has endured almost constant pain for years – it is a measure of her dedication to the organisation that she has kept going as long as she has.
Harri first joined the original Healthy Friendships project on 22 March 2005 becoming one of the founder Members of RHF. She has served as a Member of the Executive Committee before taking up her work as our very first Assistant Coordinator in February 2007. This makes her the second longest serving Member of Staff next to me. Harri has been a steadfast employee, always putting everyone else first. Utterly dedicated she has worked on when others would have rightly quit. In nearly five years of service, Harri has raised in the region of £2500 with a pyjama walk, a massive coffee morning not to mention many other activities. She has also received three “Letters of Merit” from Sarah and the Executive Committee. Few employees can be as highly respected and loved as Harri – we are all saddened by her leaving us.
The Christmas dinner and Annual General Meeting will take place at the Ridgebourne Inn, Wellington Road in Llandrindod Wells. The two-course Christmas dinner complete with crackers and all the works will take place on Thursday 8 December 2011. Doors open at 12.00 noon with a sit down at 12.30 pm. The AGM will take place between courses and will not last too long. The two-course meal will cost £4.00. However, if you just want to attend the AGM and not have a meal, there will be no cost at all. The agenda and rules of the meeting are attached.
Please contact your local Member of Staff for transport arrangements. If you do not know who to contact, then telephone me on 01686 626221 and I’ll try to help.
Exciting news. I am pleased to tell you that we are extending our services into south Shropshire. This means we will recruit four new staff who will work in Craven Arms, Cleobury Mortimer and Ludlow. This work will be paid for by a Big Lottery Fund grant of almost £250,000 from England.
Kind regards
Stuart
