Funding
We currently receive financial support from the Big Lottery Fund
(£242,719.00 over 3 years ending on 31 October 2012) and smaller
sums for a period of three years from Yapp Charitable Trust, the
Co-op and the
Charles Hayward Foundation.
We currently receive no funding from any County Councils or Local Health Boards. In the recent past we have also received
support from Lloyds TSB Foundation, Comic Relief, the Millennium
Stadium Charitable Trust and a number of other bodies
Even with the funding available to us, we still have a commitment
to raise 10% of our operational funds ourselves, which we have done quite spectacularly
with the amazing generosity of local people and businesses.

|
Dan Stephens, local landlord of The Talbot in Welshpool,
has generously raised funds, with his Patrons' help, of
£250. Here he can be seen with our Chairman and Assistant
coordinator handing over the cheque.
He also very kindly continues to donate various gifts for our
numerous raffles.

|
Muriel Penlington, a Volunteer in our
organisation, prepared flower displays to sell in Newtown and
raised an amazing £47 and is still preparing more beautiful
displays for selling. |
 |
Individual members and Staff have given their time generously to help
raise funds.

| Teresa Edwards, (member of
staff), walked 42 miles in a day to raise funds. She had gained
£800 in pledged contributions from friends, family and
businesses |
|
Teresa was presented with a
bottle of Champagne and some strawberries at the end of the
tremendously long walk by our coordinator Stuart Beesley |
